Fire Incident - 15/06/2025

Asalamualaikum,

Incident

At approximately 11am this morning, an electrical fire occurred in one of the residential apartments above the Mosque.

The building was promptly evacuated and the emergency services responded quickly to contain and extinguish the fire. Alhamdulillah.

Impact

While fire damage is localised to the affected apartment, the 1st floor prayer hall and the sisters' prayer hall have suffered some water damage caused by the fire extinguishing water seeping through from the affected apartment.

Consequently, prayer services for sisters and Madrassah classes have been suspended until further notice.

Prayer services for brothers, however, are continuing in the downstairs prayer hall, with the next prayer scheduled for 7.30pm (Asr).

Resumption of Services

Our team is now working on restoring all services as quickly as possible. Our main priority is your safety and wellbeing, and we will keep you updated on progress In-Shaa-Allah.
