Asalamualaikum

Start of Ramadan

Ramadan will begin on either Monday, 11 March 2024 or Tuesday, 12 March 2024, depending on the sighting of the moon. A confirmation announcement will be made around 40-50 minutes after Maghrib tomorrow In-Shaa-Allah.

Tarawih Prayers (20 Rakaʿahs – Whole Qur’an)

Tarawih prayers will commence either tomorrow night or on Monday night, as above, depending on the sighting of the moon.

Brothers will be in the prayer hall upstairs for all prayers throughout Ramadan, including Tarawih, while sisters will be in the prayer hall downstairs.

The only exception to this is the Jumu’ah (Friday afternoon) prayer, when both prayers halls will be used by brothers and the hall next door used by sisters.

Tarawih Parking

We’re pleased to say we have negotiated the use of the of Waitrose car park from 7.30pm each day during the month of Ramadan. The car park gates will remain open until midnight each day, after which they will be closed.

If you are driving to the Masjid for Tarawih prayers, please do not park in nearby residential spaces – instead use the Waitrose car park, which is just a short 1-minute walk from the Masjid.

Iftar (Opening of the Fast)

Iftar will be provided for brothers each day in the hall next door In-Shaa-Allah.

Daily Activities

There will be talks held after Dhuhr and Asr each day, all brothers and sisters are welcome.
