Announcement for the start of Ramadan 1443 AH

Asalamualaikum,

On Friday, 1st April 2022, the Hilal of Ramadan was not sighted locally or regionally.

Therefore, the month of Shaʿbān will complete 30 days and the month of Ramadan will commence from Maghrib tomorrow Insha'Allah.

The first fast will be on Sunday, 3rd April and the first Tarawih prayer will be tomorrow evening after Isha, which is at 9.15pm.

We wish you and your families a blessed Ramadan 2022.

After the very difficult last two years, we also extend our best wishes to our colleagues at all the other Mosques in the city, particularly our colleagues at Al-Hayat Centre Southampton for whom this will be their very first Ramadan.

May Allah Almighty accept all our acts of worship and charity during this blessed month, and enable us to gain proximity to him. Ameen.
