Ending of Covid-19 Rules and Arrangements for Eid Salah

Asalamualaikum

Ending of Covid-19 Rules

From Monday 19th July 2021, the government is ending social distancing and face mask rules. In accordance with the updated guidance, we will be returning to normal congregational prayer from this date, lining up shoulder to shoulder Insha’Allah.

Wearing a face mask in the Masjid and bringing your own prayer mat will now only be optional. So, those worshippers wishing to continue doing this, may do so. Furthermore, worshippers who may prefer to continue keeping a distance for the time being can pray at the rear of the halls Insha’Allah. Hand sanitation stations will also remain in place.

Until further notice, we will continue to hold two Jamahs on Friday for Jumu’ah – currently 1.40pm and 2.20pm.

Eid Salah

Eid salah will be held at 9am on Wednesday 21st July 2021 Insha’Allah, with space for both brothers and sisters.

Our Thanks

We thank you all for following the measures we have had in place throughout the pandemic. It has been a difficult period for all concerned, but we are grateful for your co-operation and understanding in helping us maintain a safe environment for worship.

From everyone at Bashir Ahmed Masjid, we wish you and your families a joyous, peaceful and blessed Eid!

Eid Mubarak!
