Announcement for the start of Dhū al-Ḥijjah 1442 AH

Asalamualaikum,

On Saturday 10th July 2021, the Hilal of Dhū al-Ḥijjah was not sighted locally here in the UK. The sighting also proved negative in Morocco, which is the nearest Muslim country to the UK.

Therefore, the month of Dhū al-Qaʿdah will complete 30 days and the month of Dhū al-Ḥijjah will commence from Maghrib today (11th July). Accordingly, Eid ul-Adha will be celebrated on Wednesday 21st July 2021 Insha'Allah.

We will communicate Eid salah details nearer the time Insha'Allah.
