Announcement for the start of Dhū al-Qaʿdah 1442 AH

Asalamualaikum,

On Thursday 10th June 2021, the Hilal of Dhū al-Qaʿdah was not sighted locally here in the UK. The sighting also proved negative in Morocco, which is the nearest Muslim country to the UK.

Therefore, the month of Shawwal has completed 30 days and the month of Dhū al-Qaʿdah commenced from Maghrib today (Friday 11th June).
