Announcement for the start of Ramadan 1442 AH

Asalamualaikum,

On Monday 12th April 2021 the Hilal of Ramadan was not sighted locally here in the UK. The sighting also proved negative in Morocco, which is the nearest Muslim country to the UK.

Therefore, the month of Shaʿbān will complete 30 days and the month of Ramadan will commence from Maghrib tomorrow. The first fast will be on Wednesday 14th April and the first Tarawih prayer will be offered tomorrow evening at 9.30pm.
